IKEA and VikingKids in partnership to keep Forest School children warm and dry.

We are delighted to have been chosen, in January 2008, to equip 10 inner city Oxford schools with children's waterproofs for Forest School, in a project sponsored by IKEA! Looking for the best possible quality and durability, forest school leaders from the Oxford Excellence Cluster selected our rain sets among all the brands available in the UK.

Ali Dring, Forest School leader, said,
"This opportunity will allow children to feel more confident in their explorations around the wood. Outdoors, children have a natural curiosity to explore, question, discuss and learn. Offering multi-sensory adventures like these plays a critical role in child development".
Jill Hudson, Director of the Oxford Excellence Cluster, said,
"Forest School simply brings magic into children's lives. It's wonderful to be able to help the project flourish further in this way. We were able to choose between products from a number of outdoor clothing companies, and can't wait to get into the forest in our new Swedish waterproofs from VikingKids".
Charlie Browne, IKEA Environmental Manager, said,
"After one session I saw the value of the fantastic work being achieved by Forest School. We hope that this donation of the very best wet weather gear available will further enhance the experience that the children are already having".
Emma Collins, VikingKids founder, said,
"As a mum, I know how important it is for children's clothes to allow them to do what they do best: running, climbing and jumping through even the muddiest of puddles. We are delighted, in partnership with IKEA, to make these light and durable waterproofs available to a large group of inner city children".
